Vaishnavan in perilous condition in 13th Century--7

Dear Swamin/Mathusri

When seeing the e-mail "let us go to Gopurapatti now", e-mails are pouring in to tell other nearby villages where the most affected vaishnavas migrated leaving all their century old belongings in their houses at Srirangam

About ten rs wanted the previous e--mails also as they missed them from the beginning, assuming that those e-mails are among hundred unwanted e--mails

Let adiyen tell frankly. Adiyen will raise to the level of members/rs with the anugraha of Sri Hayagreevan and Swami Desikan. Adiyen's e--mails are important to all of you and adiyen will not disturb you with time--passing e--mails

Not only Gopurapatti but also Azhagiyamanavalam ( Sri Sundararaja Peumal is here i.e. Moolavar is morethan 10 feet height), Thiruvarangapatti, Govarththanakudi, Thiruppaachchil villages received the vaishnavas affected by mass killings by Ulugh khan the chief of Alauddin khilji. The reason is that GOPURAPATTI VILLAGE is suurrounded by these villages including Mannachchanallur, Thiruvellarai and in Gopurapatti sri Ranganathar with piratti were there similar to Srirangam and these vaishnavites took solace by having darshan of Sri Ranganathar and Piratti at Gopurapatti daily. Further, these vaishnavites performed " Tharppana" to the vaiushnavas who lost their lives to the cause of protecting Namperumal during AAdi

Amavasya every year in the nearby channel called " Peruvala Vaikkal"

Every one who knew our tradition, sampradaya and Azhvar ,Acharya prabhavam, will not forget Srirangam. Srirangam means Periaperumal , Periapiratti and ubhaya kavei. When the entire sampradayam, tradition etc were at stake and when Namperumal was not there and Periaperumal was behind the stone-wall, what these bakthas will do? They found solace and some mental satisfaction while praying before SRi Ranganathan and Piratti at Gopurapatti

This Gopurapatti is now visited by various people from the T.V. channel, from the anmeega magazines, etc because the temple here is in dilapilated condition The Moolavar Sri Adhinayakaperumal alias SRi Ranganathar is in three broken condition. Thaayaar Sannidhi is full of bush and also like a little forest. It is not known when this was constructed similar to Perumal sannidhi and Thaayaar sannidhi at Srirangam

SRi U.Ve. Murali battar of Srirangam on seeing the pathetic condition of the "Moorthis" and the temple took enromous efforts to build the temple again forwhich the local people is fully involved. A committee" SRi ADhinayaka Perumal kainkarya sabha "has been formed with Sri C.Ramachandran ( Auditor)
