Swami Desikan Thirunakshthrothsavam at Thiruppullani

With the Blessings of HH Srimad Andavan Sri Ranga Ramanuja Maha Desikan,Swami Desikan's 742 Thirunakshthrothsavam was celeberated at Thiruppullani Andavan Ashramam Desikan Sannadhi from 27/9 to 29/9/2009. 27/9/2009 being the Thirunakshathram of Thirukkudanthai Desikan, alngarara thirumanjanam to Swami Desikan was performed in the morning and in the evening a sahasranama archani to Swami Desikan with that Sri Thirukkudanthai Desikan composed on Swami Desika was done. Sri Radhakrishnan swami of Srirangam who is doing athyapaka kainkaryam every year (for the past 10+ years) during TN uthsavams did the archanai.

   The second day being Vijayadasami day, a special Hayagreeva Homam was performed and in addition panchasuktha homam, Sri Sutharsana homam and Sri Dhanvanthiri homams were also performed praying for the robust threkaarogyam of HH and for general vidhyaabhiviruthi of students in this backward area. (HH was very much worried on realising the status of students here when HH was performing Chathurmasya sankalpam here last year).Sri Kulatthoor Srinivasaraghavachariar, a renowned and well versed Pancharathra agama adhikari in our area was the yajva for the homam ably assisted by our Ashrama kainkaryaparals. After the homam, Thiiruccherai Raman spoke on the greatness of Swami desikan's Stotras and Kulathoor Srinivasaraghavachariar briefed on the special attention HH Srimad Andavan is giving to Thiruppullani and explained the meaning of Eakaram (à®à®•à®¾à®°à®®à¯) in " NaraayananE " . 

    The final day was celeberated as in the previous years. Swami Desikan Thiruveethi purappadu took place by early morning followed by Special alangara Thirumanjanam for Sri Lakshmi haygreevan and Swami Desika. Full honours, Theerththam, parivattam, maalai and Thaligai from Sri Adhi Jagannatha Perumal and Padmasani Thayar were brought by the Temple Archakar and kainkaryparals headed by the Temple officer and offered to swami Desikan. Peria Satrumurai took place and the Sri Adhi Jagnnatha Perumal temple kainkaryaparals are suitably honored.

    Sri Radhakrishnan, Sri Thirucherai Raman (both of them are our regular adhyapaka ghosti) and sri Thirukkudanathai Vijayaraghavan performed Prabhandha, Desika Prabhandha, Stotra parayanam and our patasalai vadhyar Ganapati Srinivasan alongwith vidyarthis did veda parayanam.

    Sri rangarajan( our special invitee) and Sri Sridharan(our regular aradhakar) assisted by bruhaspathi Balaji were fully creditable for all the successful celeberations of the thirunakshathrothsavam

   On all the three days Thatheeyaaraadhanam was done for the sevarthis on first two days and for all local and sevarthis from outside. Thatheeyaaraadhana thiraviams were sponsored by Bruhaspathi Narayana Iyengar.

    On all the three days Sri Muthukrishnan , manager, Sri Ahobila Mutt was with us helping us in every way.  A few photos on the first two days are available here.
