Minutes of the meeting held on 25-10-2009 at Mr Kothandaramanâ€™s residence between 06.00pm to 09.15pm

Meeting started with welcoming note. Subject for the meeting is next course of action towards temple renovation and issuance of Work Order to REACH FOUNDATION.

Participants discussed about present status of the temple and expressed their concern even after 4 months of Balalayam Renovation work was not initiated.

Latest Temple photos were shown to the participants. Members enquired about the status of UTSAVAR vigrahams. 95% work completed and finishing working in progress. All UTSAVAR vigrhams to be delievered by 27th of this month.

Previous minutes of the meeting was discussed between the members.

One of the member suggested to place work order to REACH FOUNDATION as their quotation was reasonable.

Scope of work to be done by REACH FOUNDATION was discussed. One of the member raised a question on how the vimanam work to be carriedout. He was interested in knowing whether Vimanam to be destructed and reconstructed or patch work. REACH FOUNDATION would be carryingout " by the upper layer of the vimanam with out disturbing thr art work recoating the upper layer useing SUNNAMBU and do the patch work of silas and art work where ever neccessary and repaint the same " the Vimanam is not going to be destructed.

Some Members suggested to rebuild the vimanam and the vigrahams attached to it. The majoriety team has approved for the " restructuring the silas and art work with the additinal cost with disturbing the originality" additional cost would be added in the quotation.

Main entrance, Garudazhvar sannadhi, Balipeetam and Doobha Stambam to be repaired.

Ultimate aim is to repair the temple and perform full day poojas which was not performed past 70 years.

Members wanted to have detailings of work to be carriedout by REACH in writing before proceeding further. Other member suggested that we can go ahead with the specification given by REACH. Since Dr Satyamurthy is a known for his contribution towards temple activities members suggested to go ahead without wasting time. Already we lost 4 months after Balalayam no renovation work started yet hence member wanted to release Work Order to REACH FOUNDATION.

Before releasing the WO team suggested to get the village people approval for renovation work as a procedure. Mr Sampath at Periakoil to organise for â€˜THANDORAâ€™ and the Trustees and other members to go to Periakoil and address the gathering about the proceedings such as issuing WO to REACH and also get the signatures of the villagers as approving renovation activity.

Trust has to issue letter to HR & CE EO and get approval for WO. The same to be submitted to REACH FOUNDATION.

Mr Sampath, Periakoil will be the single point of contact for the REACH team. He will organise food and shelter for REACH team. Expenses would be born by the TRUST. Payment to the working team Periakoil renovation would be routed through Dr Satyamurthy.

Meeting was very healthy the amount of interest shown by members to renovate the temple is encouraging.

Meeting concluded by approving issuance of Work Order to REACH FOUNDATION. REACH FOUNDATION has to give description of the entire work to be carriedout at the premises to avoid conflicts during payment.
