Swami Koorathazwhan from Kooram near Kanchipuram, India is an adherent of Sri Ramanuja. Swami Sri Koorathazhwan will be completing 1000th year of his advent in this world on 3rd February 2010(in the Tamil year “Virodhi” in the month of “Thai”) under the asterism of “Hastha”.

With a great tradition flowing through several centuries and here to be perennial for several centuries ahead, this is a very rare blessing that this grand thousandth (1000th) year falls during our life time.

1000th Year Mahotsavam will be celebrated at Kooram, from January 25th till February 3rd 2010
