After this we can do Gangadevi dyaanam as follows holding water in our hand: Srirastu|| Parvatendrasutaam pujyaam paavaneem vishnu paadajaam|| Mahadeva jataaruddham bhagiratha rathanugam|| Janhuputreem nadeeshrestaam shubraam makaravaahanaam|| Dwibhujaam padmakumbhadhyaam gangadeveem bhajaamyaham|| Om Namo Bhagavathe Vasudevaya || Jai Shree Krishna. Guest guest Posted November 13, 2009 Report Share Posted November 13, 2009 Agamarshana Mantram or Agamarshana Sooktam is set of vedic mantras from Taitreeya Aranyaka (Taitreeya Upanishad's 2nd prasna in dravida pata aka Mahanarayana Upanishad). Guest guest Posted November 13, 2009 Report Share Posted November 13, 2009 Sri:Srimate Rangaramanuja Mahadesikaya Namaha Aghamarshan Suktam can be found in MahaNarayanopanishad, ie. 10th Chapter of the Taittiriya Aranyakam (specifically mantras 10-1-12 through 10-1-15). "hiraNyasrNgam varuNam....yadapAm krUram..samudrAdarNvA dadhi...brahaT-sOmO-vA-vrdhE suvAn indhu:||" These veda mantras, the sloka mentioned by Smt. Jayashree mamee and the snAna-sankalpam are described in detail by most Srivaishnava ahnika granthas. Since Aghamarshan Suktam is a vedic mantra, the usual disclaimer about learning through adhyayanam from a guru with swara and checking with your Acharyan about your own eligibility to recite applies.
