Guest guest
Respected swamin It was a wonderful exposition of achit tatva well explained. Adiyen wants to humbly make few clarifications to the same. From the kalaksepams that adiyen got the bhaagyam to undergo, dharmabhootha gnanam should not be classified under achit, it is a dharmam(attribute or guna) of atman that is present during waking, dream etc using which helps chetana to recognise achit tatvas.Another small change in suddha satva cannot be a chetana, it is just mentioned as swayamprakasham( reveals itself by its own without any other assistance)by Swami Desikan is Srimad Rahasyatrayasara. If adiyen has made any mistakes kindly pardon. Guest guest
Respected Srinivasan Swamin The clarifications raised by your goodself are well taken. Thanks for brining out the same. Adiyen fully agree with your observations, and reproduce below the relevant paragraphs in the said essay which address the points raised by your good self. I hope this would provide the required clarification. Kindly correct me if adiyen have committed any mistake as adiyen is just a beginner in learning about our great religion and may be over enthusiasm has forced adiyen to commit these mistakes, if any. Adiyen is ever ready to correct my mistakes and learn from all other Sri vaishnavas. With pranams Adiyen Dasan Srimad Andavan Tiruvadi podi Vengarai Ramanujam Raghavan Quote: There could be a doubt as to how Dharmabootha Gnana which is a Gnana (Knowledge) can be called Achetana when we have already clearly defined a Chetana as one with Knowledge. On the same lines, Dharmabootha Gnanam should also be called a Chetana. The answer to this doubt, explains Swami Deiska, lies in the fact that Dharmabootha Gnana although being a knowledge cannot know itself! That is, it is like a light which can only show other things and not itself! Thus it would be correct to include Dharmabootha Gnana in Achit or Achetana category of Tatvas. Dharmabootha Gnanam is included in Achit although it has Gnanam in its very name. However it has no Gnanam of its own self. Similarly Suddha Satva is devoid of Gnanam and hence called Achit. However Sastras say Suddha Satva is Gnana swaroopam. Hence it should be called Chetana. Swami Desika pronounces the judgement that both the above two ways of representing the Dharmabootha Gnanam and Suddha Satva are correct.
