Dear All,Mysore Sri ParakAla Mutt SwAmy will be camping in Chennai (between Dec 14th and mid Jan) during this year's dhanur masam. As many of you might know, Mysore Sri ParakAla Mutt is the OLDEST Sri Vaishnava Mutt as per Bhagavath Ramanuja's tradition. Mysore Sri ParakAla Mutt's arAdhana Murthy is Sri Lakshmi Hayagreevan. This Sri Lakshmi Hayagreevan was presented by Goddess Saraswati to Bhagavath Ramanujar in Kashmir after the successful completion of "Sri BhAshyam" by Ramanujar.Infact, Goddess Saraswati was so impressed with the bhAshyam given by SwAmy RamAnujar on Veda VyAsar's "Brahma Sutram" that SHE herself gave the title "SrI BhAshyam" to this work of Ramanujar and conferred the title "BhAshyakArar" on SwAmi Ramanujar. Also, SHE presented a divya mangaLa vigraham of SrI Lakshmi Hayagreevan to SwAmi Ramanujar. It's SAME SrI Lakshmi Hayagreevan who is the arAdhana Murthy of Mysore Sri ParakAla Mutt. This divya mangaLa vigraham of SrI Lakshmi Hayagreevan which is almost 1000 years old has the unique greatness of being worshipped by acharya's like Swami Ramanujar, Swami Desikan, Swami Brahmatantra Swathantrar (Founder of Sri Parakala Mutt) and all the Poorvacharyas of the Mysore Parakala Mutt upto the present 36th pattam Swamy.It's by no means an exaggeration to say that the present acharya of the Mysore ParakAla Mutt, the 36th pattam swamy, Sri Lakshmi Hayavadana Divya pAdukA Sevaka Abhinava VAgeesa Brahmatantra Swathantra ParakAla Yatheendra Maha Desikan, is a WALKING GOD. Nowadays, we've "TOP 10s" for almost everything. If we've a "TOP 10" list for great, living srivaishnava acharyas Swami WILL easily be in the top few slots.
