Swamy Temple situated in Esayanur which

is located on the banks of Palar

River.

three routes to reach this beautiful village.

to Arcot: Arcot to Esayanur via Pudupadi/ Sakkaramallur on the Nalleri/

Brahmadesam/ Illupai route

Town Bus Route No: 37, MBD, Sivasakthi, Murugan

to Kancheepuram: Kancheepuram to Esayanur via Perumbakkam/ Illuppai/

Brahmadesam/ Pudur on the Kancheepuram Arcot road

Buses go via Esayanur: MBD, Sivasakthi, Murugan Thunai,

KVM, Barathi

By

car: Chennai - Sriperumbudur - Kancheepuram - Thiruppukuzhi - Daamal - Ocheri;

take a left turn at Ocheri reach Pudur via Palar river bed; take a right turn

at Pudur to reach Esayanur

 

Distance will

be 100 kms approx.

 

30 kms from

Kancheepuram and 16 kms from Arcot

This

temple is over 800 years old and is built by Vijayanagara Kings Hariharar and

Bukkar and has unique architectural features.

Esayanur

is 15th Jeer of Ahobila Mutt Shrivan Satagopa Shri Kalyana

Veeraraghava Tatendra Mahadesikan ( Pattam 1686 – 1694 ) Swamy’s Avadhara

Sthalam.

This

temple was visited by various Acharyas, Vidhwans including the Mangalasasanam

by the present 45th Jeer of Ahobila Mutt.

Nithya

Aradhana is being conducted by Kadukkalur Shri.K.S.Sthalasayana Bhattar’s son Shri.S.Dhehalesan

Apart

from the conventional Venugopalan with flute, the unique feature of the

Uthsavamurthy is that he is adorned in his peetam by a Cow and Calf, that seems

to be mesmerized by the Venuganam.

Other

deities include Rukmani Thayar, Sathyabama, Sri Andal, Varadhar, Sudarsana

Azhwar,Senainathan, Nammazwar, Ramanujar and Vedantha

Desikan.

The

unique feature of Sudharsana Azhwar is that the lion’s face is embossed in

the centre of Sudharsana Chakram, thus enabling simultaneous seva of Nrusimhan

and Sudharsanan from the front.

This

Perumal is Varaprasadhi especially for the childless couple. “Vennaiyal

Mazhugi Sakkaraiyal Kolamida vendumâ€.

Uthsavam, Laksharchana, Anna Koottam and Kalyana Uthsavam are being conducted.
