1. Thirumangai mannan is still with Thirunarayur nambi today. The Lord is on a small hillock and rightly named sugandhagiri. At the entrance you can usually meet a flower seller very well versed and beautifully recites all of the 110 pasurams of Kaliyan and apparently has been doing flower service for 40 (or more) years now...

2. Of course Narayur nambi himself performs panchasamskaram to Mangai mannan and hence is a direct acharyan to him3. Besides other kshetrams such as nearby ThirucchErai, Sirupuliyoor, Kannamangai today we will be singing the glories of Therazhundur.
