Thiruvaymozhi begins!! 

 

1. Thiruvaymozhi 110 Pasurams (2791-2900) last 2 for sattrumurai.

2. Mudal Thiruvandadi 100 pasurams (2082-2181) - part of Iyarpa last 2 and first for satrumurai.

3. Desika Prabhandam (Adaikalapaththu) 11 pasurams. Last 2 that we recite daily.

4. In order to help us all remember Perumal the entire day - Sri ASR Swami from Cincinnati has kindly consented to talk for about 10-15 min after sattrumurai about Vaikunta Ekadasi and Thiruvaymozhi just to remind us all of the importance.

PerumAL in Rathna muththAngi for Sri Vaikunta Ekadasi.1. Nammazhwar has sung on 38 Divyadesams in all without ever leaving ThirupuLiazhwar (tamarind tree that stands even today).

2. The entire prabhandam we start with today is simply a garland (each pasurm chained to each other)- it is in antaadi, hence considered to have no beginning or ending (we recite all antaadi's first pasuram at the end).

3. Pogai azhwar (ayOnijan - not born in womb) has sung 6 Divya desams. And is also in antaadi - the first one and hence the name.

4. Adaikalapaththu is Swami Desikan's complete surrender at the feet of Lord Devadirajan of Kanchipuram and is a nityanusandana pasuram.
