Guest guest
Srimathe RangaRamanuja mahadesikaya namaha|| Happy New Year to all of you. Hope you can spend the new years eve (more so than any other day) reciting these pasurams. Pasurams for 15th Day utsavam (5th irApatthu day) for Sri Rukmini Satyabhama Sametha Sri Venugopalan Note Timings 7:30 - 9PM EST today 1. Thiruvaymozhi 5th hundred (3233-3342) last 2 for sattrumurai 2. Thiruviruttham 100 pasurams (2478-2577) 3. Desika Prabhandam - Paramatha bhangam Options for Bhagavatha participation (order of preference for adiyen would start from #3, but for bhagavathas ease...) 1. Conference Dial-in Number: (218) 844 -0840 - Participant Access Code: 676087# (*6 to mute/unmute) 2. Live Streaming of Perumal - http://www.ustream.tv/channel/sri-adhyayana-utsav 3. Venue: 12770 Alder Woods Dr. Fairfax VA 22033 (Home :703.956.6944) Trivia for today: 1. The highlight of today will be ArAmudhe(sweetness that will never bore you). The very next word nammazhwar is apparently able to utter is 'adiyen' , by looking at the imposing beauty of the Lord of Kudanthai. The last 2 pasurams were the one that provided the sweetest clue regarding the chain of thousand pasurams to Srimad Nathamuni. 2. No poet nor 'author' would dare declare right at the beginning and in all pasurams to sing a thousand - other than Nammazhwar and with his blessing Swami Desikan for his Paduka sahasram which has nammazhwar as its subject, and that provided the vital clue to Thiruvaymozhi. 3. Thiruviruttham, the essence of RigVeda primarily has Nammazhwar as Prankusanayaki woefully addressing Devadirajan about how distasteful the body and life is and want for mokshanandam.4. Swami Desikan in his prabhandam today defends and argues strongly against all other forms of worship for those desiring moksham. dasansriram
