Desika Prabhandam Prabhandasaaram Pillaiandhaadhi (last 2 and 1st for sattrumurai) Options for Bhagavatha participation (order of preference for adiyen would start from #3, but for bhagavathas ease...). 1. Venue: 12770 Alder Woods Dr. Fairfax VA 22033 (Home :703.956.6944) Trivia for today: The last one for this Dhanur masam and Utsavam. Happy Pongal too all of you!! 1. Dhanur Masam is primarily known for Andal and Udayavar whose pasurams (not literally) we are going to celebrate today is primarily know as Thiruppavai Jeeyar.2. His admiration and love for Andal was so great, imagine " Sri Bhashyakarar " considered himself not fit to give upanyasam on Tiruppavai that so many now just talk about its trivial 'wake up in the morning..' meaning. It is only to say that there's so much more in Tiruppavai to learn from. 3. It is believed that Godhagrajan fulfilled another of his sister's wishes, to be part of Thiruvenkatamudayan. He put a process in place for Andal sannidhis we see today in almost all Venkateshwara temples in particular. He is believed to have given Andal's vigraham to many vada naadu temples and you can see one with Udipi Krishnan too (though we don't know gave this particular one - anybody??). 4. Last three pasurams for iRamanuja nootrandhadhi sattrumurai- we don't do this for any others do we? - Apparently a goshti was chanting nootrandhadhi and Udayavar entered the hall. The whole goshti is said to have stood up and recited pasuram 106 like one would in a sattrumurai and to this day 106, 107, and 108 are all sattrumurai pasurams. dasan sriram
