Guest guest Posted February 22, 2010 Report Share Posted February 22, 2010 Dear all, Based on Adi Sankara’s Achutastakam I adore the all-pleasing one alike the moon, most glittering, The one who is infallible, most alluring, The one with beautiful curly tresses of hair, most enticing, The one entity from which Yogis attain bliss, everlasting, The resting place of all living entities, everything, The one whose belly was bound by a rope, all-attracting, The son of Vasudeva and stealer of all hearts, tantalizing, The possessor of the Goddess of wealth and Lord of fortune, The one dear to the cowherd girls who flock to His tune. I offer salutation with folded hands to one Who is the consort of the daughter of Janaka Who is the consort of Satyabhama, Who is the slayer of Madhu and Kaitaba, Who is longed-for by Radhika, Who is dear to Devaki and citizens of Dwaraka, Who is dear to Rukmini and destroyed Kamsa, Who is revered by Sage Agastya and adorned Sita, I offer my salutations to the all-pervading one Who is the temple of the Goddess of beauty and splendour and adored, Who is beautiful by thought, holds a conch-shell, discus, mace and a sword, Who conquers everyone and is dear to cowherdesses, Who is the Atman and is offered to in sacrifices, Who plays the flute and pleases the cows and the senses, Who is infinite supplying infinite happiness, condoning offenses, Who is the direction or goal of all humans and beyond the reach of material senses, I worship the one in whom all beings reside and who resides in all beings Who is adorned by a shining yellow robe like lightening, Who is adorned by a wild-flower garland at His chest, sweet smelling, Whose face is adorned by locks of curly tresses falling Who has jewels at forehead and shining ear-rings on the cheeks, sparkling, Who has feet are of copper-red color and lotus-like eyes, beguiling, Whose body is like a cloud of the rainy-season, resplendent, Who has a melodious anklet and bracelet resplendent. May that Raghava protect me, Who is the consort of Shree, Who was served by many a monkey, Who attained the treasure of Shree, Who was the protector of Draupadi!!!
