Guest guest
Sreemathe Ranga Ramanuja Mahadesikaya Namaha I posted to this group, a few photographs taken during Brahmothsavam at Sri Vijayaraghava Perumal Sannathi there. While visiting Thiruppukkuzhi, which is about 10 KMs. from Kanchipuram, on the Bangalore National Highway, I heard of another nearby Temple at Daamal. This village is very close to Tiruppukkuzhi, around 3 KMs on the west , again on the National Highway, NH 4, itself. This is another typical Indian village, but the Perumal temple there is different. Perumal is Sri Damodara Perumal and Thaayaar is Thirumaal Azhagi. The Temple is well maintained with a garden and clean surroundings. Devotees belonging to this place have taken efforts to support the Temple and Samprokshanam for the fully renovated temple was done a few years back. During your visit to Kanchipuram, you may plan a visit to Thiruppukkuzhi as well as Daamal Temple. When you reach Daamal, at some odd hours, you need not worry about having darshan of Perumal, as the ever obliging Aaraadakar is living adjacent to the temple and he will be pleased on your visit. I am attaching with this the some of the photographs taken during my visit there on 13/02/2010 http://picasaweb.google.com/rangaswamy.srinivasan/DaamalSriDamodaraPerumal Daasan, R.Srinivasan.
