Guest guest
Sreemathe Ranga Ramanuja Mahadesikaya Namaha As far as Kanchipuram Andavan Ashramam premises is concerned, today's event is a milestone. One of the 108 Divya Desa Perumal, " Sonna Vannam Seitha Perumal ", Yathokthakaari Perumal, has landed in Kanchipuram Srimath Andavan Ashramam premises, on one of the Brahmothsvam day, this morning. When all sishyas where wondering where are the Ubhaya Naachimaars, Yathokthakaari Perumal Himself has come dressed in Mohini Alankaram , that too in a beautifully decorated colourful Pallakku. It is really a " Kan Kolla Kaatchi ", for all of us Srimath Anadavan sishyas there. Perumal was coming " Oorvalam ",receiving " various 'Mandakappadi" enroute, with Divya Prabhanda ghoshti in front, and veda parayana ghoshti in the rear, Ashramam Aaradhakar Sri Balaji, Ashramam Manager Sri Thathachariar, trustees Sri Kunkumam Srinivasan and Anna Nagar Sri R. Srinvasan and originator of this proposal, our Ashramam Sishyan Sri Thallam Ravi were all felt very much honoured on this great event for our Ashramam at Kanchipuram. From the other side of compound and on the other building Srimath Therazhundur Andavan and Sri Namamndavan's Archa Murthees will also be blessing for the successful conduct of this event in our Ashramam. Beautiful silk vasthrams for Perumal and ubhaya Naachimaars were presented, Shheeraannam and upahaarams were presented to Perumal. Sambavanais were made to Aradakars and kainkaryabarars, ubhaya ghoshti and also to " Koti Karars ", who carry the Perumal and the entire weight on their shoulders all round the Maada Veethis for the entire Brahmothsavam period. You must watch them to appreciate their efforts, here as well as during Sri Deva Perumal brahmothsavam. Real muscle power is required here. I was fortunate to attend the event today along with my wife and had the opportunity to take a few photographs and a few movie clips for all of you to enjoy this great event. Today being 'Dwadasi" day, after the event, we had saathumurai in the Perumal and Acharyan sannthis. All of us had Theertha Prasadams, incudin Sri Paduka Theerthams of Acharyas. Like on all Dwadasi days in Kanchipuram Ashramam, all of us had "Paaranai", soon after that.
