Sreemathe Ranga Ramanuja Mahadesikaya Namaha

On this happy occasion of Ugadi festival in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh and also Gudi Pudwa festival in Maharshtra and other places, Srirangam Srimath Andavan Ashramam announces its plans to bring out the English version of our official monthly magazine, Sri Ranganatha Paduka. This will contain the same articles which appeared in the Tamil version of the magazine, which many of you are getting by the middle of every English month, say around 16 th.

This step is mainly to help those who are unable to use the Tamil edition, due to lack of knowledge in that.. Our Ashramam has a large number of devotees in all states outside Tamil Nadu. This step of ours is to help them , as nowadys almost all our devotees has knowledge of English.

Our Ashramam has formed a group mof volunteers who have agreed to do nthe translation work, as soon as the Tamil version is out of the press. It is estimated the translation may take a week. The electronic edition of English version of Paduka, is expected to be ready by the end of 3rd week of every English month.

For your information, we have already mailed to all of you in the different , the trial editions of Paduka for January and February, as our compliment. The next edition of March, is under preparation and this will also reach you as our compliment in the next few days. We hope that all of you will appreciate the steps what we have taken to bring the magazine to a state, by which we can invite subscriptions for this monthly effort.

If a print copy has to airmailed to a foreign country, the air mail postage is very excessive and to give you an idea,Rs 120 for a present Paduka book and this is for every issue. At this rate plus the cost of the book, we may not be able to attract subscriptions from overseas devotees for the hard ( printed ) copy. Hence, as a committee, with the permission of H.H., we have decided to send Electronic editions of Paduka to all overseas rs at the rate $ 1 ( 1 doolar ) per issue and $ 12 per year.

We need a lot of support on this our maiden effort and appeal to all overseas residents to come forward to support us and at the same time get benefitted by the thought provoking articles, which appear every month. Every month it will reach you with the blessings of H.H.

For registration for E Edition in USA and Canada, please contact Sri Raman Aravamudhan ramanaravamudhan.

From other countries, the payment may be drawn in the name of " Sri Ranganatha Paduka" and sent to Srirangam Srimath Andavan Ashramam, No 31, Desikachari Road, Mylapore, Chennai 600004.But while sending please send an e mail to me at r_sv, for follow up. If you have any of your contacts in Chennai, this amount can be paid in equivalent Indian rupees,to our Ashramam office in Chennai

Now coming to local demand for the English version. We anticpate the demands are likely in the states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharshatra, Delhi and other places. If we are able to get atleast 1000 subscriptions , we will be able to bring out a print edition and mail them the same to all of them every month, just like the present Tamil edition is doing. To start this exercise, we need our devotees in those states to come forward and pre register without commitment, by giving their name and e mail id. The final subscription rates will be very much around the current Tamil version with some slight adjustment on the mailing cost. Once we have an idea on the demand, we will formulate our strategy and issue a circular for subscription registration.

We want to expedite the whole process, for which we need your support. Please preregister with your name and e mail id. we will come back to you soon after that. In case you are not happy with the final rate to be announced, you are free to wuthdraw from subscribing.

Now, a request to all our Ashramam branches all over India. Very soon all those branches will be celebrating the forthcoming Srimath Thirukkudanthai Andavan's 104th Tirunakshatram on 25th March, Panguni, Pushyam. Please take out a banner of this message, put out prominently in your places. Also publicly announce the information to all your friends and relatives and influence them to pre-register. Also, Ashramam Managers can collect the information , and forward the same to my e mail id r_sv., R.Srinivasan. Let me hope that this message will result in flood of pre registrations from all over India.

For any more clarifications on the matter, you may contact either me, in India or Sri Raman Aravamudhan, in USA

Daasan,R.Srinivasan
