Guest guest Posted December 7, 1998 Report Share Posted December 7, 1998 ***************** Report by Sri Manish Tandon ********************** Gita Jayanti: Nov 29, sunday which was also ekAdashI Morning program: Freemont Hindu Temple, 8:30a - 12:15p Several off the Bay area Madhvas participated in the Gita pArAyaNa organised by the Samskrit Academy. The pace of reading was a bit slow hence it took almost 4 hours, however, it was a plesant experience. There were more 50 people persent including about 10 Madhvas. Evening program: at Sathyanarayana's house, 5:00p - 7:00p Many of us re-assembled at Sathyanarayana's house in the evening for Gita pArAyaNa and bhajana-s. We had about 15 people this time including most of the ones who went to the morning program. We chanted the 11th and 18th adhyAya-s of Bhagavad Gita, followed by bhajana-s. We were also fortunate to have the son (Sri Nagaraja Rao) and daughter-in-law (Smt Vatsala Nagaraja Rao) of Sri Govinda Vitthala dasaru who sung many beautiful compositions of Sri Govinda Vitthala dasaru. regards, Manish Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
