New VMS Web page and Madhvanavami Celebrations

Hi krishNa bhaktas,

 

VMS web page has a new and improved look (at

http://.org) thanks to the hard work of Srikanth

Jagannath and Sudhindra Yapalparavi. Congratulations to both of them

for hard work, dedication and devotional service to the community.

Please look around and give comments/suggestions to them. Matrimonial

boards are still not fine tuned properly. They will be solved soon.

 

Our aim is to use the web page along with the E-mail list as an

important communication medium to coordinate the activities of VMS,

improve communication among members etc. Please give any suggestion that

you have to this list.

 

Prasad Bhargava had made a suggestion to make an VMS web site an

Amazon.com associate. You can do this by signing an agreement with

Amazon to place their buttons (logos) on the VMS web site to direct any

purchases that VMS members make from Amazon starting from the VMS web

site. Amazon pays 5-15% of the purchase price to VMS. I want to get some

feedback from the members about this arrangement. This is can be an

easy, no cost and fruitful way to raise money for VMS. What do you

folks think of this? Please give feedback to the list.

 

Finally, I want to mention the madhvanavami celebrations happenning

in the Washington DC area. Madhvanavami celebrations happen on Saturday,

January 30th at 10 AM at sri shiva vishNu temple (SSVT) in Lanham, MD.

Celebrations include krishNa abhisheka, vishNu sahasra nama parayaNa,

Sumadhva vijaya parayaNa, vayu stuti parayaNa etc. Please attend and

tell your friends about it.

 

NY celebrations will take place on February 6th, Sunday at Flushing

temple, NY. I don't know the details. Perhaps some NY area volunteer can

post the details.
