Guest guest
Dear Devotees: I am attaching an interesting e-mail from my nephew in Bangalore. Hope you all will enjoy it. Regards GV Srinivasan Attachment: This is an excerpt from two leading news papers in B'lore. Monkey Business? The devout can read all kinds of meanings into it and sceptics can have a good laugh. But the facts remains that a monkey which appeared from nowhere chose to formally release a religous book last week in Bangalore. It happened on jan20 evening at the Masti Ranga Mandira at Shankararpuram in B'lore,Sri Bannanje Govindacharya,a well known sanskirt scholar & orator from Udupi had been giving a series of talk on Bhagavad Gita.On the previous day he had announced that Kannada version of Valmiki Kanda Ramayana written by him will not released by any politician but by himself. That evening, when Sri Acharya came to the venue an adult monkey followed him to the stage. In spite best efforts of the authorities the monkey refused to leave the stage. It sat along with the Acharya in front of 350+ people. When the Acharya took out the book for release, the monkey gently grabbed it and tore of the wrapper surrounding the book and offically released the book.It even open the first few pages & appeared to go through it.The monkey then came down from the stage sat on few peoples' lap and listened to the talk & at the end of the talk it was nowhere to be seen. The picture of the monkey releasing the book was also printed in the newspapers.People beleive the monkey to be Hanuman Himself, the loyal servant of Lord Rama. Many of my Mom's friends witnessed the great event. Hope you will relate this truth & fact to fellow Indians. Rajesh
