Guest guest
Dear folks, Yes.. it will be really nice to have a list (need not be too comprehensive) in the web-page about the names, addresses and preferably the contact persons of all possible Madhva Matha's which are looking for financial support. Popular places like Mantralaya, Swadhi and Mulbagal do get large contributions on a day-to-day basis because they have been recognised as a sacred spot for a long time. I guess there are many more places which have implemented traditional Gurukula parampara, and free Nitya AnnaDana schemes and need financial support. We as a growing organiation here could collectively send a VMS contribution cheque once in three - four months (depending upn the circumstances) to each Matha on a regular basis. Shri. Krishnarpanamasthu. Regards Sudhir. Dear Gopal, Thanks for sharing your experiences in helping with mAdhva causes. One of the purposes of the VMS is to facilitate such efforts by sharing and communicating relevant information. You are helping in this regard. Please share the address information on this list. One of the main points that was emphasized in the discussion at the VMS meeting was that, we all can do that. It does not have to take a lot of money to do those sort of things but still we can make a difference to the particular causes. There are small mAdhva maThas, institutions that teach traditional sanskrit learning that do not have a solid financial support base. We can help in those kinds of causes. I request list members especially those in India to collect information about maThas and other valid causes and share it on this list. Later we can think about organizing that information and publishing on the VMS web page. VMS is trying to obtain tax-free status so that more formal fund-raising efforts can be organized if necessary in the future. But the things we are talking about here are small efforts that can be done by individuals on their own. Another thing that I want to emphasise is that we are actually helping ourselves by helping these causes. Whatever we give towards these causes is multiplied many many times and returned back to us either in this life or in the future. It also accelarates our spiritual sadhana. One can very easily verify this. > > > Krishnam Vanthe Jagadgurum. > > With best regards > > Gopalakrishnan PK. > - Regards, Vasu Murthy -- ================================= Vasu Murthy Bell Atlantic Global Networks web page: members.xoom.com/vmurthy vmurthy W:703-247-7314 Fax:703-247-7359 ================================== ------ To from this mailing list, or to change your subscription to digest, go to the ONElist web site, at and select the User Center link from the menu bar on the left. ------ yatatopi hareH pada saMsmaraNe sakalaM hyaghamAshu layaM vrajati | smaratastu vimukti padaM paramaM sphuTameshyati tat kimapAkriyate || - sri madhvAcharya - dvAdasha stotra Whosoever even atempts at meditation upon the feet of shri Hari, his entire sin gets destroyed immediately and surely.
