The Madhwa Youth Hostel for boys has been running for many years (close to 80 years). Room and board is provided free for deserving students who are attending schools & colleges; many medical and engineering students take advantage of this hostel. Students get 3 meals a day and coffee. In turn they have to perform Sandyavandane twice a day, and follow Akadasi and other Madhwa religious duties. Hostel is run very efficiently and it is clean. At that time they were adding second floor to the quarters and they were in need of funds. We donated money to build a room. Organizers mentioned that they are in need of funds to implement projects like library, computers, etc.. If any one of you is interested in providing donations to the organization we will be glad to provide more details.
