Guest guest
KrishNabhaktas, Ramachandra Srivatsava has put a video clip of the VMS conference in california on his web site. Congratulations for him for a very creative effort using the latest technology to convey information about traditional mAdhva work.! This represents another example in the happy marriage of tradition and the latest technology that we are harnessing for VMS work!. The clip is in Real Video format. You need to download a Real Player Plus G2 available for free at www.realaudio.com to see this clip. Once again congratulations to Ramachandra Srivatsava for coming with a unique way to share the mAdhva functions in this country with people all over the world. I was advised that on normal telephone (28.8kbps) connections, the down load may be slow and halting. It works better if you have a big pipe to internet such as at work or school. I request Ramachandra to split this into several blocks to make it easier for people to download. We are planning to add a link from the VMS page shortly. BTW, I also want to thank sri Keshava Rao of CT for a wonderful translation of sri madhvAcharya's dvadasha stotra that you see appended to every message. Those of you who look at the Dvaita list must be familiar with his wonderful and detailed translations of many shlokas and mAdhva works. I started to translate myself with my limited knowledge of sanskrit, but I am glad that I asked for his help. It is wonderful to have a person with such a mastery of sanskrit with us. I want convery our thanks to him for this effort. krishNaya namaH, Vasu srivatsa (Ramachandra Srivatsa) rss Organization: Netscape To: vmurthy CC: rss, Sudhindra Yapalparvi <sudhindra.yapalparvi, Sathya Narayana <mssn, " Satya Murthy (Office) " <murthys, Sathya Narayana - Home <mssathya Hari Om, You can view the video at http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Hills/7373/stream_vms_200k.ram It is a 200kbps streaming video file. Guest guest
Hari Om, First of all, my last name is Srivatsa not Srivatsava! I have created another version for the benefit of dialup users. It is a 34kbps encoded video file, so the video quality is not as good as the regular one. The URL is http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Hills/7373/stream_vms_56k.ram This was easier to do than splitup the clips. I will do that too sometime in the near future. regards, ramu. ---Vasu Murthy <vmurthy wrote: > > Vasu Murthy <vmurthy > > KrishNabhaktas, > Ramachandra Srivatsava has put a video clip of the VMS conference in > california on his web site.
