Regards On behalf of Vajra Mahotsava Committee BRK ====================================================================== SRI VISHWESHA TEERTHA SWAMIJI’S PEETHAROHANA DIAMOND JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE. AN OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE Sri Vishweshteertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt is a great personality, rare to find in the present century-an inimitable and versatile personality indeed. His holiness has mastered Indian philosophy. He has been observing akhanda brahmacharya and performing all the rituals expected of a yati. He has never deviated from the path of righteousness. He tours throughout the length and breadth of this vast land winning the harts of millions wherever he goes. He has a vibrant heart which melts when he sees people in trouble. He is a confluence of all these great qualities, simple in his approach, smiling all the time. Any great-work whether religious or social, requires his indispensable leadership and guidance. He has the courage and fortitude to launch revolutionary corrective measure to the prevailing social ills within the framework of established traditional norms. He has never disappointed anyone who approached him seeking help or knowledge. In this sense he is not a sanyasi confined to one Mutt or a cross-section of the society. He is not only a great well-wisher of the entire HINDU and MADHWA society, but also of all the citizens of this great land and world. He is a great humanitarian, par-excellence. He renounced wordily life at the tender age of seven and became sanyasi. He has devoted himself to the service of mankind. He believes in the dictum, “SERVICE TO HUMANITY IS SERVICE TO GOD”. Clad in simple saffron clothes, having only one meal a day, he never takes rest except while he is travelling. The society has got its opportunity to remember and honour this KARMAYOGI Sri Vishwesh Teertha swamimiji who will be entering the sixtieth year of sanyasa. It is sixty years, since HH Sri Vishwesh teertha took sanyasa and ascended the peetha. It is obligatory on the part of society to recognise and appreciate his services by honouring His Holiness on this occasion. It has been decided to organize a grand function to honour the Swamiji. Under the grand patronage of Sri Vidyamanya Thirtha Swamiji, the revered guru of Sri Vishveshathirtha Swamiji, a National Diamond Jubilee Committee has been constituted. Though the Swamiji is against personal cult, he has given his wholehearted consent to this project. The various projects visualised by His Holiness, require huge funds, the 'Swarna Nidhi' is only a token contribution towards the same. It is going to serve as the initial capital which the Swamiji can utilise at his will. If donors desire to contribute substantial funds, opportunities will be provided for them to do so. Vidyapeetha: The Swamiji has been running the Poornapragna Vidyapeetha for the preservation of and propagation of the ancient Indian culture and philosophy. The Swamiji has already established such institutions in Pajaka Kshetra, Gangavathi and Karjgi. With a view to propagating Indian philosophy in North India, the birth place of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna, the Swamiji has already made plans to establish such Gurukula in Delhi and other places. One acre of land has already been acquired in Vasantha Kunja in Delhi, at a concessional rate of Rs. 90 lakhs. It is proposed to establish a Samskrita Patashala, a publication division, a centre for spiritual study and a seva centre. Research Wing: A Research Centre has been established in Poornapragna Vidyapeetha with the help from the Government of India for helping post graduate students to conduct research. It has a computer centre linked to the Internet. This centre is in need of a well-equipped Library and accommodation. His holiness desires to make this centre as a gift to the nation on the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee Celeberations MEDICAL SERVICE : To handicaped children and poor people JANATA KALYANA NIDHI : To help people affected by Earthquakes, Foods, Droughts and other natural calamities. AYURVEDA COLLEGE : PAJAKA KSHETRA DEVELOPMENT GUEST HOUSES AT HARIDWARA, KASHI, RAMESHWAR AND DELHI VIDYA PEETHA etc.. Donors are requested to choose the project they would like to support and come forward with substantial donations. They can give their contributions in the form of gold or the price of gold in cash. The devotees desire so, they can invite the Swamiji to their place and honour him.
