He is one of the esteemed scholars of Dvaita Philosophy and religion. He has written numerous books and has travelled widely to speak and educate others about these matters. I don't know all his accomplishments. Perhaps others like sri Mukund or sri Balaji Hebbar can do justice to describe his accomplishments. Some of us were thinking to invite him to visit US one of these days. I am sad to report that sri Bannanje Govindacharya had to undergo a sudden heart by-pass operation couple of days ago. Fortunately, he is recovering well. Let us send our prayers to sri Hari and vayu to wish him a speedy recovery to full health. As you know, by-pass surgeries are very expensive in India and people do not have insurance to cover these expenses. Sri Bannnaje Govindacharya is an inspiration and resource for all the madhva community.It behooves us to help him in time of his need. He wouldn't dream of asking anyone to help him, but we can show our support and gratitude to his work for the madhva community through this. Sri Amardeep who helps sri Bannanje in all his activities in Bangalore has kindly agreed to coordinate these efforts there. Please send your contributions to the address below.
