sri KrishNabhaktas,

It is nice to see all the enthusiasm for the conference.

Volunteers in Detroit are putting in lot of effort to make this event

into a grand success. All indications are that conference will be a

highly spiritual event with religious, philosophical and cultural

activities. May sri Hari and vAyu's blessings be showered on all the

volunteers and the participants.

 

It is nice to see several people taking initiatives to arrange

for rides. sri Aravind Acharya is coordinating a ride from the NY/NJ

area. There will another ride will be arranged from the Washington

area. These will ensure that satsang will start much before the

beginning of the conference.

 

I want to remind people about the netiquette for sending

messages about coordinating all these activities. VMS list goes to more

than 100 people and we all are responsible to use the list in a

judicious and responsible manner that enhances the shared religious

experience for all of us. Towards this end, I have the following

suggestions.

 

1. It is OK to post messages announcing a ride. Please send private

E-mails for replying to those messages. To avoid confusion, I have

changed the list attribute that replies are sent to the sender instead

of to the list.

 

2. There is a separate list for planning activities for the conference.

This list is called vmsvolunteers . Please use this list for

planning discussions for the conference. If you need to get on the list,

please let me know at vmurthy.

 

By using these suggestions, we can make sure that private E-mails

are kept that way and E-mails that convey information to all of us are

posted on the list.

devotion to you can not be found any where, can not be learned from

anybody.

Real devotion will not happen until Your blessings occur.

 

 

Closing thought: Very fact that many people are interested in having a

spiritual event this coming long weekend,

inspite of many other (Laukika) things to do such as events with

friends, summer outings etc. indicate special blessings.
