Guest guest
Dear Hari Bhakthas, I am new to the list and as the tradition goes let me formally introduce myself first. " Sathussaakara Paryantham Gobrahmanebyaha Shubham Bhavathu Vaashista Ayindrapraballa Apathvasu Pravaranvitha Upamanya Vashista Gothrah Asvalayana Sutrahah Rik Saahithyaye Shridhara Sharma aham bo Abhivadaye " I am sridhar, son of Smt Lakshmi and Sri Krishna Rao Hari. My ancestors on the father's side hail from Gobichettipalayam and mother's side hail from Srirangam but trace their origin to Mysore. My parents are stationed at Srirangam, Tiruchirappalli, Tamilnadu. Though born and brought up from a traditional place as Srirangam and inspite of having had eminent scholars around, I was not blessed to have learnt anything of our Acharya's philosophy there. God made me take up the posting at MYSORE, after completion of an year's course at Bhabha Atomic Research Center, Bombay in 1992. Then, I started picking up on my Kannada and started slowly progressing to understand the outpouring of Haridasas; this slowly resulted in my attending the thursday evening Sangeetha Seva either at Srirangam or at Mysore. I am a Paamara and Agnani with no formal knowledge of Sanskrit.I pray Him that He should give me the opportunity to really study Sanskrit and understand atleast some of Acharya's works, Sudha, Nyayamrutha, Theertha Prabhanda and the like, in the near future. By His blessings, I have been at Texas A & M University, College Station, Texas from August 97, doing my education in Nuclear Engineering. I have been following the discussions in the Dvaita list since I have been here and learning about our philosophy. I am not learned enough to ask questions on the technicalities of Dvaita. However, I would request learned members in the list to kindly respond to my doubts that arise from time to time on the meanings that are conveyed in Devaranamas. I would also appreciate if I come to know some of the members of this list who are around here at Houston, Dallas or Austin. I request members in the list to kindly put up with my somewhat elaborate introduction.
