DHYAANA SNAANA - 4

namO naaraayaNaayaiva muchcharan bhakthibhaavathah

vaasudhEvaachyuthaanamtha gOvimdha garudaDhvaja || 10

||

 

Chant the words " Namo Narayanaya' with devotion. Also

chant the names Vasudeva, Achyutha, Anantha, Govindha

and Garudadhvaja.

 

muraarE narasimHEthi padhmanaabha janaaRdhana

rajasthamO mOhajaathaan jaagrath svapnasuShupthikaan

|| 11 ||

 

Also pronounce the names Murari, Narasimha,

Padhmanaabha and Janardhana. It irradicates impurities

accrued on account of Rajas, Tamas and Moha. Also,

such sins accumulated during the states of awakening,

dream and sleep.

 

vaaGnymana kaayajaan dhOShaan navaithaan

navabhiRdhaHEth

saaRDhathrikOti thIRThEShu snaanaath kOtiphalapradham

|| 12 ||

 

Also, the sins on account of mischevous activities of

tongue, mind and other organs, in all totalling nine

types of sins, would be destroyed by chanting the

above nine names of God or by chanting the above

stanzas.

The meditative bathing is far superior than taking

dips in three and a half crores of piligrimage

places/rivers.

 

yO nithyamaacharEdhEvam sa vai naaraayaNah smRuthah

yah paTEth praatharuthThaaya bhakthiyukthEna chethasaa

 

kaalamRuthyumathikraMya jIvanmukthO na samshayah ||

13 ||

 

He who adopts this every day, has really offered his

prayer to lord Narayana.

He who chants this regularly every morning with

devotion overcomes the death and attains

salvation/moksha. No body need entertain any suspicion

regarding the efficacy of this meditative bathing.

 

ithi shrI vaamanapuraaNE gamgaamaahaathmyE

Dhyaanasnaanam sampURNam ||

shrI kRuShNaaRpaNamasthu ||

 

Thus the greatness of Ganga as narrated in the Vaamana

Puraana written

by Bhagavaan Vedavyasa completes and the chanting is

dedicated to Lord Shri Krishna.
