Interesting items from DC volunteers released during the VMS conference.

Hi krishNabhaktas,

Volunteers from the Washington DC chapter of VMS will release

couple of products during the VMS conference that will be of interest

to all the people of the community and to people outside the community.

 

First product is a Devara nama book and a teaching aide for people

 

who want to learn Devara nAmas but don't have anybody nearby who can

teach them Devara namas. Devara nama book consists of easy to learn

Devara namas arranged in the tAratamya order. There are also dhyana

shlokas in the beginning that are chanted before Devaranama singing.

The

Devara namas are in Kannada and English ( transliterated in baraha

format). This will enable people who can not read Kannada script to be

able

to read and sing Devara namas. We hope this will be useful to teach

Devara namas to children and will encourgage families to sing Devarana

namas together regularly. There is also an audio cassette recording of

the Devara namas which will help people who want to learn singing with

the traditional Ragas. One can follow the audio recording and learn to

sing Devara namas very easily. We request a donation to the VMS for

this product to

help in making more such useful products.

 

We hope this product will be useful the mAdhva community and other

people who want to learn Devara namas.

conference.

 

Second product is a VMS sticker. There are two stickers. Both of them

 

will help in reminding ourselves important vaishNava concepts everyday.

Both stickers have VMS logo and very nice lettering. First sticker says

" VishNu preraNaya and vishNu prIthyartham " . Second sticker has the

shloka " nAhaM kartA hariH kartA... " from Gita TatparyanirNaya of sri

madhvAcharya.

 

Both products will be available after the conference to people who could

not attend the

conference

 

Dedicated volunteers from the DC area made both these products

possible.

I want to thank them for their efforts.

Volunteers have done both these product with a deep sense service to

sri Hari and vAyu and to the community. I hope we see more such efforts

from grass roots to help ourselves to do the things we need for the

community.
