Guest guest
Dear Fellow MAdhvas: This sort of thing does happen, i.e. independent renderings, tho' not directly mentioned by the AcAryavarga itself. One such example is " atat tvam asi " vs. " tat tvam asi " . Tho' the official rendering for us MAdhvas is " that thou art not " (atat tvam asi), we can still take it to mean " that thou art " , i.e. tat tvam asi, (not in the Advaitic sense or even the VishiSTAdvaitic sense of " sharIra-sharIrI bhAva " ) but in our Dvaitic sense of " bimba-pratibimba bhAva " , i.e. where we jIvas too are in the image of the Lord as " saccidAnandasvarUpa " , albeit a tiny one in comparison to the Lord's infinite saccidAnandasvarUpa. Such " concessional " and " compromising " interpretations are not totally unfounded in our tradition. Hari-VAyu smaran.a BN Hebbar
