Guest guest
Sri Krishna Bhaktas, Two more pledges, totaling $167, was received towards our humble seva to Sri Jayatheertharu. This brings the grand total so far to $1167 which may translate to about Rs. 50,000. I talked with Sri Arulmallige Parthasarathy before his departing for India. He very much welcomed the line-by-line translation of Nyayasudha with the tippani of Sri Raghavendra Swamy. He was of the opinion that to print and publish in India an edition of 1000 copies of a book, each book about 400 pages, the cost might be about Rs. 1 lakh or Rs 100,000. If this turns out to be true, our collection of Rs 50,000 so far is quite significant for this project. In order to minimise the cost as well as enhance our own participation, how about the following ideas. 1. Our own scholars, residing in the USA and well connected by Internet, take the task of preparing the manuscript. Sri Balaji Hebbar, Sri Keshavrao Tadipatri, Sri Jayakrishna, Sri Gopinath Galagali, Sri Srisha Rao and even others in India divide the work among themselves and prepare the manuscript. This way, each person prepares about 50 - 60 pages for the 400 pages book and the whole project becomes manageble. This will be sent to scholars in India for review and approval. 2. A team of volunteers then electronically prepare the final form, send to India for printing. We still give to Sri Utiradi Matha whatever we collect by Aug 28 but with a request to utilise this fund to publish this book and also arrange to provide the necessary review and approval of the contents of the book.
