Dear Sri Krishna Bhaktas,

 

As you all know, Upanayana is an important samskara and perhaps more

religious importance is attached to this function even compared to the

marriage ceremony in the lives of brahmin boys.

 

Sri Puthige Swamiji and group have volunteered to conduct Uapanayana to the

interested boys in the most traditional ways during their current tour in

this country. One of the very good, auspicious dates they have designated

for conducting this function is Sunday, September 12. The function will be

held in Allentown in our house.

 

Parents interested in making good use of this rare opportunity are requested

to contact me immediately for details. We have deided to utilize this

opportunity and perform Upanayana to our younger son, Chi. Anand, on this

day. We consider our son blessed to have the opportunity to receive Mantra

Upadesa at Brahmopadesa from Swamiji himself.
