Too many e-mails

During the period 8/27-8/30 there were more than 35 e-mails form the

Vishwamadhvasangha onelist on various topics. These are too many interruptions

to our routine work even though these are interesting and helpful information

for many. I would like to suggest the use of bulletin board to post discussions

on any related topics, request for rides, thank the host of an event etc. ,

which we can access if we are interested and when we have time. These are not

time sensitive or of interest to all the onelist members. I suggest e-amil

should be used to inform onelist members of time sensitive information such as

the upcoming events and short announcements. This will cut down on the

interruptions when we are on the computer. If members continue to get

unmanageable number of e-mail interruptions to their computer use many will be

forced to from this onelist! Many have already done so! This will

be unfortunate, because they will not be informed of the upcoming events

resulting in less participation from the Madhwa community in these events.

Thanks

Namaskara Nirmala Rao,

I agree that VMS list is becoming quite active

with many interesting discussions going on and I feel

that is a good sign. Fortunately, unsubscribing is not

the only option available for those who don't want to

recieve too many e-mails. There are a couple of other

options you can choose. I am listing them below :

1. to Digest only

This will send you a digest of all the

discussions at the end of the day and may be the best

suited one for you.

2. No mail

You can choose not to recieve any mail but read

the discussions from the onelist web site which you

can access at your convenience.

Please choose the best option that suits you by

going to the onelist site and continue to get

interesting and important information on various

topics and events.

Hi,

There is an easy solution if anybody is bothered by too many E-mail

messages

at work.

This is to change the subscription to the digest mode. You will be sent one

E-mail

per day at the end of the day with all the day's messages in a single E-mail.

You

can switch to the digest mode by sending an empty E-mail to :

-digest

For the , , normal, and

digest commands, just send an empty email to the address.

Please send E-mail to -owner if there are still

problems.
