Dear Krishnabhaktas,

 

narasiMho akhilaaGYaana mata dhvaanta divaakaraH |

jayati amitha satGYaana sukha shakti payonidhiH ||

 

[Lord narasiMha who is ocean of boundless true

knowledge, joy and potency and who is like blazing sun

in destroying the darkness caused by all the

doctrines that preach ignorance, is victorious].

 

 

Shri Harish Baipadithaaya, who is a scholar from

Poorna Pragna Vidyaa Peetha, has started teaching the

" Khandana Traya " granthas of Shri Madhvacharya with

commentaries of Shri Jayatirtha and sub-commentaries

of Shri Vyasatirtha etc, to interested students in the

Washington-DC area.

 

Recently, the Mangala of the first among the

Khadana Traya's " Maayavaada Khandana " was held in

Rockville in a traditional style.

 

Maayavaada Khandana deals with refuting the Advaitic

position that the Unity of God and Soul is the subject

matter of all shaastra and the knowledge of this

Identity is liberation or Moksha. After successfully

refuting the advaitic position with rigorous logic,

Shri Madhvaacharya proves with pramanas from Shruti

and Smriti that the real purpose of all shastra is to

establish the utmost supremacy of GOD and that this

knowledge is the means to obtain HIS grace and attain

liberation.

 

Through the study of this grantha, the students got a

taste of the intellect and the dialectical skills of

sri madhvAcharya, sri Jayatheertha and sri

vyAsatheertha. They are awesome to behold. Shri Harish

taught this grantha for the past 4 months with lot of

interest, giving useful insights into the great works

of the gurus.

 

Speaking on the occassion, Shri Harish said that he

is extremely happy for having this oppurtunity to

teach this grantha in a traditional way even in this

far away land. He reminded everone that this is due to

the grace of Shri Hari and Vaayu and encouraged

everyone to continue learning shaastra granthas in a

similar way.
