> Swamiji will be in Washinton D.C. area from October 10-20. Please, all

> Washington D.C.area families and also out of town families come forward

> and take this opportunity to enjoy Swamiji's navarathri pooja as well as

> children's conference. This is a wonderful occasion for kids to meet

> other kids in the community and start kids network.

> We are planning wonderful items for Children. They will be given time to

> display their talents. The following is a outline of the program:

> Kids assembly 8.30. a.m.

> Udghatana by Swamiji and managalarathi to begin the conference.

> mutual introduction by children

> Stotra class: 9 -9.30 a.m.

> Children will know about the names of Indian

> 10:00 Interaction with Swamiji

> 11:00 Break for Swamiji's Pooja

> planned couple video watching. We have couple videos about charitrAs of

> prahlAda, dhruva, bali, and ajAmiLa Children have an option to watch or

> play.

> Afternoon Program:

> 3:00 Quiz for Children

> planning a jeopardy forming two groups so that individually

> kids do not have to know everything. Kids will be given topics to be

> covered before the conference with parents help. Topics will be posted

> within couple days. (parents please help your children to actively

> participate in this) The two groups will be lead by older children (team

> leader). The team leaders will read the question out to other team and

> the other team should act accordingly. Both teams will be given the topics

> (written on index cards). Teams will just read them. A VMS coordinator

> will take the scores.

> We will also have a small " anthakshari " or a " merry go round " kind of game

> by taking all god names. The competition can be really educative with

> parents involvement. This will also give parents to do some homework

> before Oct 16th.

> 3:45 Talent Show

> Children are encouraged to present what they

> are good at.

> It could be " dressing like Krishna " or any

> other god/goddess/guru.

> It could be songs, stotras etc.

> 4:45 Swamiji's Ashirvachana for Kids
