Shri shrIsha guNa dharpaNam- I

 

This series of postings will present sri vAdirAja's highly spiritual

stotra on sri nArAyaNa and lakshmi. This is suitable for daily pArAyaNa

for vaishNavas of all persuasions. It is said that pArAyaNa will result

in spiritual and material wealth. One can very easily see the beauty of

the verses and devotional atmosphere in them.

 

This stotra is used in the evening pooja by sri puthige swamiji.

 

I have used baraha encoding on the stotras all errors in encoding and

translation are mine.

 

yA sugamDhasyAnAsAdhi nava dhvArAkhilEna yA |

dhurADhaRShA sarvAsasyOdhayARTha yA karIshiNI ||1||

 

Godess Lakshmi has heavenly perfume in all the nine openings her

divine body such as nose etc. She is beyond the world consisting of

chetana and achetana things. As bhUdevi, she is the cause of all the

growth in plants on earth.

 

yA nithya puShtA sarvAmgaih saumdhaRyAdhi guNairapi |

IshwarIm sarva bhUthAnAm thAmihOpa^HvapEshriyam ||2||

 

She has beautiful limbs and endowed with divine beauty.

She is the Godess of all living beings. I invite her to my home.
