krishNabhaktas,

On the auspicious occassion of the deepAvaLi where people

normally worship the sri mahAlakshmi, I present the next couple of

verses. This stotra is suitable for pArAyaNa by the whole family

including children.

I had forgotten to mention that I am using a booklet produced

by sri Sode Matha for the translation.

May sri nArAyaNa and sri lakshmi bless everybody during the

auspicious festival.

Regards,

Vasudeva Murthy

Mother Godess lakshmi! you are dear to Lord mAdhava, I bow to you. You

are father and mother to the world. Both of you do not have any

separation from each other.

Mother! You are present in all space and time along with my Lord ( Sri

Hari). This is why you are called samanA. My Lord will never get angry

with you.

You are the Godess associated (abhimAni devAtha) with vedas. Your

loving Lord can be known by vedas. You are the origin for all matter

(mUla prakRuthi) and He is the origin of all men.
