Dear Devotees,

 

 

It is a matter of great pleasure and pride to all of

us that His Holiness Sri Sri Sugunendra Theertha

Swamiji has been invited by United Nation's World

Conference on Religion and Peace to participate and

deliver keynote address in the " 7th World Assembly on

Religion and Peace " at Amman in Jordan. His Holiness

will be representing India as a whole,and will be the

keynote speaker during the final session of the

meeting. Main theme of the assembly being the role of

religion in the new millenium, Swamiji's address would

attract attention all over the world.

 

Religious Heads and participants from 60 different

countries would be given the " take home message " by

our Respected Madhwa Peethadipathi.

 

I have been given the responsibility to do all the

paper work and correspondance job with UN's office

regarding Swamiji's tour to Amman, Jordan. I will be

traveling to Amman on 19th Nov to make all the

arrangements for Swamiji's visit there.

 

Swamiji's secretary Sri Prasanna Acharya and all the

group members (Sri Vadisha Acharya, Srisha Bhat and

Ram Mohan Kodancha) will be accompanying Swamiji to

Jordan on 21st Nov. We all will be returning from

Jordan on 30 Nov, 1999.

 

Our Air Ticket, and all the other expenses

(approximately $ 20000.00) has been sponsored by the

organizers of WCRP.

 

Puja and Pravachan has also been planned by the local

Indian community. I am in touch with office bearers

of Indian Association of Amman, Jordan and they are

all ready to welcome His Holiness and host Sri Krishna

Puja there in their community hall.

 

It is matter of great pride to Viswma Madhwa Sangha

that our Swamiji is representing our mother country in

this distinguished event.
