Guest guest
Dear Devotees, Sri Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji is now set to return to India after completing His tour in the United States, which took more than five months. Swamiji and entourage visited follwowing 18 states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, California, Washington and Arizona. Swamiji covered about 50 different cities of above states, spreading the message of Sri Krishna, through Bhagavad Geetha discourses and message of Sri Madhwacharya through lectures on Madhwa Philosophy. Swamiji visited about 18 temples and approximately 400 houses, where either Maha Pooja or Tottilu Pooja or Pada Pooja were arranged. It was a great pleasure for me to work as a coordinator of Swamiji's tour. Apart from day to day planning of Swamiji's tour programme, I could also make it to visit to some places and witness the Puja of Sri Vittala Devaru. I observed a great deal of interest and enthusiam among devotees. Due to lack of time, it was not possible to give opportunity for some of the devotees for hosting Maha Puja or Tottilu Puja and I regret for that. Swamiji's troup members, viz, Sri. Vadisha Acharya, Sri Prasanna Acharya, Sri Srisha Bhat and Sri Ramamohan Kodancha were appreciated by devotees. Vadisha Achar, being a senior most member among the troop inspired all by his 'Bhava Poorna Bhajans'. Prasanna Acharya, being a secretary to Swamiji, could capture the attention of people by his good public relation skills. Sri Srisha Bhat was very prompt and punctual in making arrangements for the Maha Puja and Tottilu Puja. 'Sri Ramamohan Kodancha' (another name for 'Udupi Aduge'!?) - I think, people can never forget him for his ability to cook very fast and efficiently. Because of Swamiji's visit, a lot of devotees could come together and get to know each other. The spiritual implication of Swamiji's visit is beyond my words. A lot of programme were organized during Swamiji's visit. Notable among them were Sri Jaya Theertha Aaraadhana, Sri Raghavendra Swami Aaraadhana and Makkala Sammelana (at Washington DC and Phoenix). I am thankful to all the hosts and local coordinators for their cooperation and help in coordinating Swamiji's tour. Devotees from New York/New Jersey and surrounding area will be bidding farewill to Swamiji by organizing 'Sri Krishna Tulabhara' function at Ganesh Temple, Flushing on Jan 8th. Swamiji and group will be leaving to India on the evening of 9th January from Newark International Airport. Let us all look forward for a 'blessing message' from Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji and let us all Wish A Happy and Safe Journey to Swamiji and His group.
