Sri Gopal avare, Namaskaragalu. I am trying to make some points which could provide answers to some of ur questions. --------------------- jIva could either be sAtvik, rAjasik or tAmasik which doesnot change. A sAtvik jIva is by default jnAna - Ananda pUrNa. A tAmasik jIva is by default ajnAna - dukkha pUrna. A rAjasik jIva is by default mishra. Every jIva in asrujyAvasta (before being brought into creation) from anAdi is bound by linga dEha which is triguNAtmaka. But this linga dEha would not have any binding on jIva whatsoever. To give an anology, lets consider kajji seed (I do not know what it is called in English). When this seed is dry, if u shake the seed, u would feel & hear the sound of actual seed within it. When u soak this seed in water, the outer cover get expanded and gets attached with actual inner seed. Thats what is the case when the jIva is brought from asrujyAvasta to srujyAvasta. linga dEha is outer cover & jIva is actual inner seed. In the commentary to Srimad harikathAmrutasAra, Sri sarkarshana wodeyaru says, that when the jIva is brought from asrujyAvasta to srujyAvasta, he is soaked in sri harIs sweat and then makes linga dEha get attached with jIva who was unbound till that point. This is the starting point for births & deaths which depend on anAdi karma, which is present in linga dEha. We shall discuss now wrt to sAtvik jIva : Even though, a sAtvik jIva is jnAna - Ananda pUrna, since jIva is bound by linga dEha, jIva unknowingly (definitely with sri hari ichcha)makes friendship with its most hardcore rivals - " aham " & " mama " . In kannnada, " nAnu " & " nannadu " . jIva should be having " aham " which should be " aham dAsajIvaha " & jIva should be having " mama " which should be " jnAna & Ananda are mine & sri hari is mine (nannavanu) " , but due to linga dEha, it becomes the other way round. sri hari cannot at once bestow mukthi to jIva since jIva is associated with its hardcore rivals. Disassociating oneself with sri hari kAruNya from hardcore rivals is sAdhana which results in Self Realization & Indweller/bimba/sri hari realization (aparoxa). So jIva is anAdi, linga dEha encapsulating jIva is anAdi & karma associated with jIva is anAdi. sri hari is like a garderner, who nourishes them using the above ingredients. Hope the above points could clear some of ur doubts. Pl. excuse for any mistakes and pl. let me know of them. I request learned people to contribute to this.
