Dear Vaishnavas

 

I am sure you have received the latest message from Shri P R Mukund

about the audio CD that Tara Prakashana is releasing on Madhva navami.

 

This is but the latest in a series of services that he has rendered

our commmunity. I am sure that most of you have benefitted from his

projects like the hari smaraNe tape, the IshAvAsya tapes, the

life-history of shrimadAcharya by Bannanje, the purandarOpanishad tape

and many more such projects. However, not many people are aware that

madhva Navami is also his birthday (according to the Hindu calendar).

 

On this occasion, I would like to take the lead on behalf of everybody

who is a member of VMS and dvaita lists to thank Dr. Mukund for his

tireless and selfless service to our community. If we had more noble

souls like him, then the world would indeed be a much better place.

 

Another laudable aspect about him is that he truely believes, from the

bottom of his heart, that he has had nothing to do in this regard and

it is all hari chitta and hari prEraNe. Most people mouth this very

glibly, but in their heart of hearts they are patting themselves on the

back for being such noble souls. Not so with Mukund. I have never been

able to convince him that he deserves credit for all the selfless work

that he does.

 

Please join me in wishing shri Mukund a very happy and meaningful

birthday. May hari, vAyu, guru shower their choicest blessings on him

and his family. He has lots of exciting plans and projects for serving

this community. May all his dreams come true and may he continue to be

a shining example for the rest of us, for a long, long time.
