I would like to make some points here.

Explanation:

The sloka ,in the first instance, praises Sri Jayatirtha (which is the

name of Sri Vishnuteertha in his Purvashrama) as the crown jewel of

'avadhutas'.

we may guess that he could not have

praised himself as 'avadhuta shiromani' and used the epithet 'Arya' in

the sloka. It is, therefore, possible that this sloka was composed by one

of his sishyas and appended to the set of slokas he selected from the Gita.

My Opinion :

 

I feel the last shlOka is written by shrI vishnutIrtharu himself.

The following shlOka from " adhyAthma rasaranjani " could prove this point.

 

avadhUtha shirOrathna jayathIrThavinOdhatha:

prasanna: shrIharirdhadhyAth sathAm sarvamapExitham - 45

 

" adhyAthma rasaranjani " has 49 shlOkAs of which the last 5 shlOkAs starting

from 45 to 49 form upasamhAra.

shlOkAs 1 to 44 cover great topics like shrI harIs sarvasvatantrathva,

shrI harIs karthruthva, bhOkthruthva, sarvakarma samarpaNe and many other

topics. To put it simply it proves the point

 

" bimbakriyAyaiva kriyAvAn aham dAsajIvaha " .

 

 

shrI gOpAla dAsaru says in one of his suLAdIs,

 

" nAnu embudaralli nInE gOpAlaviTala "

-

 

shrI vishnutIrtharu is the one who gave this pramEya in all his works.

 

So, the word avadhUtha shirOrathna refers to the bimbamUrthi (the Indweller)

shrI hari of shrI vishnutIrtharu.

 

So also the word " Arya " refers to the Indweller.

shrI hari, vAyu & gurugaLu are the first name holders and then the jIva who

would hold the name for that janma.

If I have to be called with the name Prasanna, then it first relates to shrI

hari, then to vAyu dEvaru, all thathvEsharu & then finally to me.
