Vedic & other verses are to be recited praying the God to forgive & protect. aaruhmA vEdhikAm pashchAth pUjAsAdhguNyakArakam mUlamanthra harim dhyAyan japEdhaShtOththaram shatham || 116 || Then one should again sit on the alter (vEdhikA) and meditating Lord Hari repeat mUlamanthra hundred & eight times. This ensures completion of worship. thathvanyaAsAn mAthRukAshcha punaRmURthai samAcharEth Holding a Tulasi in the hand thavanyAsa & mAthRukAnyAsa should be done to the God. punaRdhyAthvA harim dhEvam aathmEthyEkAmRucham paTEth || 117 || Thatha aavAhanIm mudhrAm vyuthkramENa vidhAya cha Meditating shrIhari, the hymn aathmAdhEvAnAm & yajJnyEna yajJnyam should be recited. then the beckoning Mudras should be shown in the opposite manner. ehyEhIthi puna: prOkthvA punarAvAhayEdh hyadhi || 118 || thaThaiva parapUjAyAm ravyAdhou tham nidhApayEth Repeating the words 'bhO: svAmin ehi' one should invite the God & place Him back in the heart. If the worship is for the benefit of others, the God should be placed back in the Sun or Agni. yAchEham thvAm hRuShIkEsha namAmi puruShOththama || 119 || hRudhi mE kuru samvAsam shriyA saha jagathpathE ithi prARThya harim pashchAth vidhadhyAth thathvamAthRukA: || 120 || Supreme God HrishikEsha ! I humbly prostrate before You & pray. Kindly reside in my heart with RamA dhevi." Praying Sri Lord thus one should do thathvanyAsa & mAthRukAnyAsa for himself. dhyAthvA samaRpayEdh viShNum yasya smRuthyEthi manthratha: Meditating God Vishnu, one should submit humbly all the good acts done repeating the verse, yasya smRuthyA cha nAmOkthyA thapa:........ & nAham kaRThA hari: kaRthA thIRthaprasAdhagandhAdhIn dhathvA vishNuparAya cha || 121 || thatha: svayam thu gRuhaNIyAth bhakthyA nathvA harim smaran || One should give thIRTha, gandha & prasAdha to a devotee of Vishnu & take them himself throughout thinking the image of God with devotion. padhyapATE manuShyANAm shramO nAthibhavEdhithi || 122 || thanthrasArOkthapUjAyAm padhyamAlEyamIrithA It will not be much difficult to learn & remember verses. With this idea, the method of worship described in thantrasAra has been versified here. pramAdhathO nirOdhAdhvA harE: pUjA bhavEnna chEth || 123 || paTanAthpadhyamAlAyA: nara: pUjAphalam labhEth Due to forgetting or due to some difficulty, if one did not perform the worship of God Sri Hari, then he would get the benefit of performing the worship by reciting this PadhyamAla ithi shrIjayathIRThaRyabhikShuNA rachithA sathI || 124 || thanthrasArOkthapUjAnusAriNI padhyamAlikA anEna bhaghavAn viShnU: prIthO bhavathu saRvadhA || 125 || This useful work padhyamAla describing the method of worship according to thanthrasAra has been composed by Sri Jayatheertha. Very carefully and gently place the sAligrAma and other icons into the samputa and place them in a deerskin lined box (krishnAnjana pettige). Manya suktha or narayana sukta is usually chanted at this time. We should ask the Lord to come back into our hearts and reside at this time as said in verse 120. There is a famous song sung by shrI vijaya dAsaru. Akshathe It is made of dried, burnt banana flower mixed with turmeric & grinded with gandha (very difficult to explain in English) People who know to do Akshathe, please explain properly for the benefit of others.
