Guest guest
Dear Sri Bhasker, Very good. You have brought to light such rare books like MBTN by GuruRajaRao. Only wish someone takes reprinting such books instead of producing new ones. For example, there is a translation of Bhag.Tatparyanirnaya in Kannada by one Sri Krishnamurthy. An excellent book. Unfortunately we don't get copies of such books since they are out of print. As I wrote earlier, the last century has seen a big boom of Madhva literature which should be preserved for the benefit of posterity. Guest guest
Namaskara to all Haribhaktas. I totally aggree with the views of Sri Bannnur in saving the valuable old books for posterity. Such rare books now have become a vanishing reality and some of them are virtually in tatters and in urgent need of a reprint. As I was conversing with Sri Prahlada a devoteee who was running a magazine called Harike and had to stop because of patrons(as was the case of many good journals) he came up with a very good idea of atleast having a bookhouse on madva literature in all languages in main cities that could cater to the needs of the interested madhva public. He also suggested a centre for Madhva philosophy with a few systems so that people interested in this philosophy could come and get what they want by the left click of the mouse. Since, nowadays the scanner facility is availabe books can be scanned and stored . We can find that the other schools are having a plethora of institutions and bookshops to propagate their faith but it is a real pathos that we are not in the fray. I had earlier suggested the starting of a Madhva philosophy department (as only one department perhaps available at Tirupati),then for an institution and now finally settled down for atleast a centre because the former two are reallly out of reach since it involves a lot of finance. I request that the members of the list to come out with valuable suggestions in this regard. Yours in the Service of Sri Harih. Dr. B. Basker. RAMACHANDRA RAO wrote: > Dear Sri Bhasker, > Very good.
