Essay contest for children

Dear Sri KrishNa bhaktas,

 

We, volunteers at Washington DC, invite all the devotees of Sri Hari and

Vayu for an essay contest exclusively for children. This is one of the ways

to create an interest in children on our religion in general and Sri

Madhvaacharya in particular.

 

We have divided the contest in two age groups 8-12 and 13-20.

The topic for the age group 8-12 is 'My favorite story in Mahabharata'.

 

For the age group of 13-20, the topic is 'How does the philosophy of Sri

Madhvaacharya apply to my everyday life?'

We ask the co-operation of all the parents in encouraging their children to

participate in this event. This will trigger the thought process in the

children's mind about our religion and as there is a competitive spirit,

they will be inquisitive to know more and do well.

 

->The last date to submit your entries is May 18,2000.

 

->Mention the subject as

'Essay contest for children(8-12)' for children in the age group of 8-12 and

'Essay contest for children(13-20)' for children in the age group of 13-20

 

->Before beginning the essay, please write participants Name and Age

 

->All the essays must be in English

 

->The length of essay should not exceed 3 pages

 

->The essays should be written by children alone. Parents can give

information, supply books and answer questions

 

->Prizes will be awarded to the first three best essays and a certificate of

appreciation will be awarded to all the participants from 'Vishwa Madhva

Sangha'
