ekAdashi system

krishNa bhaktas,

I have heard that the thought on sri phalimaru swamiji's mind over the

last few days before his demise was that of a " single ekAdashi " system

for all mAdhvas. This means the ekAdashi should be calculated on a

agreed upon basis instead of many systems that are in use in different

maThas. It will be nice if the mAdhva community in India can come

together to fulfill his wish as a homage to him. Many of us in the USA,

are already fulfilling his goal by observing ekAdashi on a common day

irrespective of the maTha affiliation. Task is easier here because we

have to come up with a new ekAdashi thithi nirNaya system as we are in

different part of the globe. Sri GV Srinivasan posts every year the

ekAdashi tithi dates, based on the north american tithi times (verified

using computer software) and SrimadAcharya's specifications of ekAdashi

in sri krishNamR^ita mahArNava. I urge everybody in the US to follow

this new system as an homage for sri phalimaru swamiji. I request smt.

and sri. srinivasans to post the list again.
