Guest guest
Dear Vaishnavas I am happy to report that The NY/NJ/PA/Connecticut chapter of VMS successfully conducted a second Satsanga last Saturday (5/20). This was held in the house of Shri Janardhan & Smt. Vidya. Here is a quick report on the proceedings and follow-up actions. Participants: Janardhan & family, Chetan Bhargiri, JV Acharya and family (including mother), Bindu Madhavan, GV Srinivasan & family, Navaratna Murthy & family, Keshava Rao & family, Madhusudhana Bheemasena Rao & family, Badrinath & family, Naveen Bannur, Hunsur Sriprasad & family. In addition, we were lucky to have a few visiting families from India. Some of these have been involved in building a temple in Bangalore, through some very unique fund-raising efforts (they visit a person's house, recite vAyu stuti or Hari kathAmruta sAra, and accept whatever is offered gladly!). They were very happy to see such satsangas happening in the US. Considering the fact that it had been pouring for several days, leading to very bad driving conditions, it was extremely heartening to see that people had driven for hundreds of miles to participate in this meeting. One cannot but help admire such dedication and zeal to learn our shAstra. shri Keshava Rao continued the concepts taught in the first session and followed up with a detailed exposition on associated terms, and possible errors (logical & semantic) that one can encounter. It would be punarukti dosha to state that as always, he delivered a wonderful lecture, but I am willing to commit that dosha! As always, his communication was excellent and very effective. He also provided handouts and answered everybody's questions patiently. People interested in these notes may kindly contact shri Naveen Bannur (who has been affectionately called as 'tIkArAyaru' for shri kEshava Rao!) @ naveen If shri Keshava Rao addressed our spiritual needs, the warm hospitality of Smt. & Sri Janardhan Rao ensured that the physical side was taken care of equally well! They went out of their way to ensure that everybody had a pleasant sojourn in their house. The next meeting will be on June 24th in shri J V Acharya's house in NJ. This time we will follow a slightly different format by starting in the morning, with a recitation of SMV. On behalf of all participants I wish to thank shrI kEshava Rao for quenching our spiritual thirst in this manner. vara guru upadEsha dorakitu yenaginnu, innEnu innEnu sriprasad
