Meaning: 1. Hari is sarvoththamma, 2. Jagath Sathya, 3. Paramarthika panchabheda 4. Jeevas are servants of Vishnu 5. Different grades among jeevas 6. Mukthi is the enjoyment of svarupananda of jeevas 7. Bhakthi is the means of realising salvation 8. Prathyaksha, Anumana & Agama are only three means of establishing truth 9. All vedhas praise Vishnu alone. These nine prameyas are most important in Madhwamatha. Details on this premeya stothra can be seen in http://www.dvaita.org/shaastra/prameya.html ESTABLISHMENT OF DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JEEVA & BRAHMA: JEEVA BRAHMARA BHEDHA SAMARTHANA Question: Swamiji, To establish " Thvathobhinna Jeevaganaha " Brahma & Jeevas (God & souls) are entirely different from one another. In advaitha, athing like bheda does not exist. There the jeeva chethana is in no way different from parabrahma. Many Western Scholars also have decided that there is no difference between Jeeva & brahma since jeevas are the amsas of paramathma (sakshath amsas) if there is no difference between Jeeva & Brahma, what you have established with great efforts on all these days Vishnu SarvOthOththamma Thatva will fall down like a huge tree which is struck by a thunder bolt. According to Bhaskaracharya, the difference between Jeeva & Brahma & Jeeva & Jeeva is due to only upadhi. Once the upadhi is destroyed, the difference disappears. If all the jeevas are not different from Brahma, the question of one being superior & another being inferior does not arise. Only when the there are atleast two persons entirely different from each other, the question of one being superior & one being inferior will arise. The question of master & Servent also will come. If all are equal such question of superior & inferior or master or servent does not arise. More over some people believe in the theory of Yeka Jeeva. Then how can there be difference between Jeeva & Jeeva when there is no second Jeeva at all. Then you have to kindly establish using the sentences only from BG, the difference between Jeeva & Brahma & Jeeva & Jeeva. Answer : Sri Srigalavaru: Words of Krishna who has stationed himself between the armies of Kauravas & PAndavas, are like arrows dipped in poison for the hearts of the enemies that deny the differences. There is not a single sentence supporting abheda in the entire Bhaghavath Geetha. Krishna has declared only the bheda arrived at in Vedantha Sastra in all the 18 chapters of Geetha. There are two types of evidence proving difference in Geetha. In some sentences Krishna has declared the difference between Him & Jeevas. In some others, He has shown the bhedha karmas as proved in Vedhantha. First, we shall deal with His direct declarations. BG 8-20, 21: Bhaghavan who is known as avyaktha is entirely different (Anyaya) from all chethanas that have birth & greater (paraha), He is independent & sanathana. In mahapralaya, even though all chethanas disappear, He will be there. Here the word avyaktha represents only Krishna is known from the next shloka. Bhaghavantha who is known as a vyaktha is also akshara whom one should attain. Krishna says that He is one whom if any one attains such person will not come back to the cycle of birth & deaths as He is the Supreme God that can bestow salvation on His devotees. Since it is said that avyaktha is anya from all others. This is a proof for the difference between Jeeva & Brahma. BG 15-16,17: In the world, there are two kinds of people since jeevas have bodies liable for destruction. They are called Kshara purushas. Since Lakshmi does not suffer any loss of body, She is known as Aksara Purusha. para Brahma is anyaha from both kshara & Aksharapurasha ie. Anyaha means different, therefore He is paramathma (Chethana Schethananam). In this sentence, Krishna has said that there are many chethanas with bodies subject to destruction (he has used plural number for suchchethanas) & there is only one chethana whose body is not subject to destruction. (Akshara singulare number for that chethana) & He is different from both. By using the words " Anyaha " , He has made it clear that there is difference between Him & other jeevas. Krishna has also pointed out many many opposing qualities in Jeeva & Brahma which do not permit their becoming identified (sameikya) we will point out them briefly. He says there are many chethanas who are Nithyas & who have had no beginning. BG 2-12: TO BE CONTINUED.................................................................
