Guest guest
hari sarvottamma, vaayu jiivottamma shrI gurubhyo namaha ESTABLISHMENT OF DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JEEVA & BRAHMA: (TATVATHO BHEDA, JEEVA BRAHMARA BHEDHA) Question: " Madhbava Magagatha ha " means they acquire my likeness, (Similarity with me) why it should not be considered that many have attained Brahmaikya? Answer: Ikya with Krishna is not considered as Mukthi both by advaithies & ourselves. According to the reasons given earlier merger (Ikya) with a brahma different from Krishna is not possible & merger (Ikya) with Krishna has not taken place so far for anybody. Therefore mama bhavaha shoudl be considered as having been formed from mahibha vaha (sthithihi) & not from mama bhavaha. Entering the paramathma itself is Mukthi, not merger (Ikya) with him. This is clear from " Visanthe thadhanantharam " & " Visanthi godhya thayovitharagaha " i.e. jnanees free from desires in whom they enter (in Mukthi) (that is my svarupa). These are the words of Krishna in Chapter 8. Further Mukthi as advaithies say is not ready made parabrahma bhavas because from words of Krishna, we learn that the mukthi is a position to be attained after sadhane. Let us consider Krishna's words pertaining to mukthi. BG 2- 15, 51, 70, 72: One who does not suffer any mental variation (Chittavikara) from worldly pleasure & pain such a jnanee attains mukthi. Wise people acquire knowledge from nishkaama dharma & become free from birth & death, & attain a position free from pain (Mukthi). A jnanee that does not suffer any mental variation (chiththa vikara) from worldly pleasure attains Mukthi. The jnanee who is free from Mamtha & attains mukthi. The person at the time of death who is free from worldly desires & remembers paramathma attains paramathma who has no prakruthi body. BG 4-10, 24, 39: Many people become jnanis & attain a state in Me where there is no pain but only pleasure. One who does karma surrendering the result to Brahma also attains brahma. After obtaining the knowledge of Brahma, jnanee attains Mukthi very early. BG 5-7, 21, 24: Those who lost their sins by the knowledge of Brahma, attains Mukthi which is devoid of birth & death. Yogi who meditates on Brahma (Krishan) in his samadhi, yogi experiences pleasure (Sukha) which has no end. this proves that the experience of never ending pleasure is Mukthi & Mukthi is not becoming pleasure it self. (i.e. Brahma). The yogi referred to above after getting Brahma jnana, he attain Brahma who has no body made up of Prakruthi. Question: " Brahma Bhoota ha " Does not this mean becoming Brahma himself? Answer: If that meaning is adopted, then the meaning of the portion of sloka " Brahma Nirvanan adhiga Chehathi " becomes meaning less ie. to say having become Brahma himself he will attain nirvana brahma is absurd. After becoming brahma, why one should attain nirvana brahma is absurd. After becoming brahma, why one should attain nirvana Brahma? Sankaracharya also has his bhashya on sloka Brahma bhoothaha prasannathma sachathi na kan Kshthi " for the word " Brahma boothaha " given the meaning " Brahma praptha ha " ie one who has attained Brahma, instead of saying " Becoming brahma himself " because Sankaracharya was aware of the difficulties involved here. In Brahmmanadi also he has given the meaning as " One having knowledge of Brahma " Therefore it is proper to say " Brahmi bhuta ha " " Brahma bhutaha " . BG 2-25: Jnanees who have become free from sins attain nirvana brahma (i.e. Brahma who has no body (i.e. Brahma who has no body made of prakruthi. BG 4-15: Yogi after he casts the body off attains a position in Krishn. Here Krishna has clearly said that Mukthi is remaining in Krishna permanently & not becoming Krishna himself. In the state of Mukthi, the Muktha becomes eligible for special blessings of Krishna which ensure the muktha everlasting pleasure. But we are also in Krishna at present, but we have not become eligible for his special blessings hence we are not having the pleasures that Mukthas have. BG 6-45: Yogi after he becomes jnanee attains Mukthi. BG 8-5: If one remembers Paramathma at the last moment & casts off his body, he attains a high position in God. There is no doubt in this. Question: Swamiji, here " Madhbhavamgathi " why we should not give the meaning for this as attaining my svarupa " ?
