Guest guest
Namaskara, I want to know about the meaning for these words used in sankalpa. I personally feel this is a very good ( hi-tech ) protocol describing about our present position on planet earth with respect to universe. Here is the sankalpa: Shubhe Shobhane Muhurthe aa-dhya brahmanaha dwi-the-ya pa-rar-the swetha varaha kalpe vaivasvatha manvanthare kaliyuge prathama-paathe jambhuth-vepae bharatha varshe bharathe kande dandakarenye godhavarya dhakshanae parsh-vae salee-vahana sake budhavatharae ramashethrae asmin-vardhamanae.... godhavarya dhakshanae parsh-vae ---it means south of godhavari river why we are mentioning godhavari river instead of krishna or any river? may be our ancestors lived between godhavri and krishna and later on we moved to further south ? It is like specifying a place with respect to some object in brahmanda Please reply Venkatram Achar ______________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
Guest guest
I have another question in this area: What is the sankalpa to be said when in the US? For the present, I say " ... asmin jagathi asmin kshethrE ... " in place of " ... jambUdhweepE ... dakshiNethIrE " . Is there a better adaptation of the sankalpa? (Can you please quote the source for the modified sankalpa, for authenticity's sake) Regards, Raghavendran -- " parthasarathy venkatram " <pvram grrrao July 5, 2000 11:42:50 PM GMT Sankalpa--meaning Namaskara, I want to know about the meaning for these words used in sankalpa.
