krishNa bhaktas,

We have been seeing a variety fund raising E-mails on the list

over time. We get e-mails for many good causes. Supporting good

mAdhva causes is one of important our duties and VMS is happy to provide

a

forum for these announcements.

Many people find the number of such E-mails cluttering and

distracting to the overall

quality of the list. The feedback that we have received is that people

want some kind of structure for these fund raising E-mails.

It is proposed that the fund raising E-mails be sent to the moderators.

They will be bunched up and sent as a group once a month. All the fund

raising

E-mails are forwarded. Simply, they are bunched together and sent once a

month by the moderators. I think this approach will clean up the clutter

of fund raising E-mails and brings us to the next point.

VMS wants to sponsor about 2-3 major projects per year. Some

carefully selected projects will be chosen for funding and donation from

members. VMS will take responsibility to see the projects to completion

and get regular status reports from the projects. These projects will

be given prominence in the list.

This structure will help clean up the clutter and help people focus

on selected projects while still giving opportunity for people who want

to reach the audience of the VMS list for various causes.

>From now on, starting immediately, please SEND THE FUND RAISING E-mails

to -owner .

The e-mails will be published once a month at the beginning of the

month.

Please e-mail any comments/questions to the

..-owner
